Casillero del Diablo Twitter Event

We’re constantly looking for new ways to introduce our clients’ brands to influencers and consumers, and social media caught our imagination. This event engaged key food & wine bloggers in a way no other wine brand had done before.

The aim was to position Casillero del Diablo as a forward thinking, innovative brand, and offer a taste of what is possible through digital media. The strategy was a simple one – to create a food and wine matching challenge and broadcast it from start to finish on Twitter and other digital platforms
Following the initial live web-vid wine tasting, three bloggers were set the challenge of finding the perfect two-course menu to match two wines with help from their fellow Twitterers. Using a hub site on Posterous the bloggers then posted a combination of pictures, video and AudioBoo recordings to update the followers on progress as and when it happened.
The final cook-off was broadcast live and Marcelo judged the dishes alongside Michelin-starred chef, Thierry Laborde, and Harpers Wine & Spirit writer, Carol Emmas.
Results
•The four uploaded videos have been watched a combined total of nearly 5000 times
•Audio interview listened to 550 times and the photographs viewed also a further 550 times.
