Our publishing knowledge and expertise, combined with our freedom of association, allows us to develop stylish and effective print publicity. We brought this to bear for ICEP, representing Portugal’s leading wine producers.
 

CUBE was commissioned to produce a magazine for the G19 group of producers by the Portuguese Trade Office after a competitive pitch involving two publishing houses. The brief was to communicate the heritage, quality and diversity of Portugal’s still wines to a ‘fresh’ but targeted UK audience, whilst conveying a modern spirit and style.

 

The resulting 36pp magazine, introduced by Oz Clarke, was poly-bagged with The Evening Standard’s ES Magazine and with Food & Travel magazine. The essence of the copy and pictures was wine and tourism, but given a fresh, ‘lifestyle’ feel so often lacking in consumer-focused wine promotions. A pull-out Buyer’s Guide made it useful as well as informative.

The result was a cost-effective media with wide reach that could be referenced throughout the year as a guide to the Wines of Portugal.
